Mike Hannay, D.Sc. is the chief product and supply chain officer at Bicycle Therapeutics.

Mike is a seasoned CMC specialist having worked for Sanofi, Schwarz Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and AstraZeneca where he led scientists in the UK, US, and Sweden developing the formulations, medical devices, drug substance manufacturing processes and associated analytical methods that contributed to AstraZeneca’s innovative new medicines. Mike then moved to Thermo Fisher Scientific as general manager for the UK-based Bio Pharma Services Division with responsibility for over 800 staff members in the UK including business development, engineering, finance, human resources, IT, manufacturing, marketing, packaging, project management, supply chain and quality functions. Most recently, Mike served as the managing director for the Medicines Technology Innovation Facility in Nottingham, a group dedicated to accelerating the development and commercialization of innovative medical technologies and devices through partnerships with academia and NHS Trusts. Mike is an honorary professor at the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology at the University of Leicester and a visiting professor at the School of Pharmacy, DeMontfort University.
